Booking & General Info

Booking Accommodation

Your first night needs to be booked prior to your departure, then you can book all your accommodation before you travel or book as you go.

Your options for booking are:

  • Contact our reservations team with your preferred resorts and dates, who can check availability and book on your behalf (reccomended during the busy season)

  • Book with the Tour Desk team onboard the Yasawa Flyer

General info

  • All prices are per person
  • Pass durations are 5 to 15 days
  • Complimentary coach transfers are available from most Nadi, Denarau, Vuda, & Wailoaloa hotels/resorts
  • All resorts have a compulsory meal plan (priced per person) with prices noted
  • Meal plans must be paid upon check-in at the resort (in FJD)
  • Your pass is activated on the first day of your arrival and is valid until your last day inclusively
  • The Yasawa Pass is valid for use at any stops on the Yasawa Flyer route
  • Yasawa Pass bookings need to be made at least 24 hours prior to disembarking
  • Our Passes can be booked on an open dated basis if you are not sure of your actual travel dates. We do recommend, however, that you confirm your final travel dates at least 14 days prior to arrival in Fiji to ensure the resorts are available. Prices are valid for travel until the end of this contract travel period (31 March 2027) – a surcharge will be charged for any passengers that travel past this date based on the new seasons pricing

Terms & Conditions

  • ‘Bula Passes’ and ”Yasawa Passes’ are valid for the travel duration as purchased/shown on the Pass
  • The Yasawa Pass is available in 2 categories: Yasawa Pass – Standard – this is based on Dorms and ‘lead-in’ Bures/room types (some with shared bathroom facilities)

    Yasawa Pass- Upgrade – this guarantees a higher bure category, all with private en-suites, and many of the hotels/resorts included in this grade of pass are based on beachfront room categories

  • Minimum/Maximum stay requirements:

    • When using a Yasawa Pass Standard or Upgrade, there is a maximum of 4 nights at any one hotel/resort
    • When using a Yasawa Pass Standard, there is a 1 (one) night minimum stay at South Sea Island for all guests travelling on a Yasawa Pass of 8 (eight) nights or more
  • Passes are valid for travel on board South Sea Cruises and Yasawa Adventures Fiji vessels to/from South Sea Island only in the Mamanuca Islands, and all stops serviced in the Yasawa Islands on Route 7 for the consecutive number of days of the pass duration selected based on vessel schedules at the time of travel
  • All Dorms and room types with shared bathroom facilities have a minimum age of 18 years – people 17 years and under are not permitted in these room categories
  • Passes include complimentary scheduled coach transfers from most Nadi, Denarau, and Wailoaloa hotels/resorts (and Nadi Airport) to connect with the Yasawa Flyer – these must be pre-booked.
  • Passes are activated on the first day of travel and are valid for the period shown on the Pass. If clients are still travelling outside of the expiry date of the Pass, they will be charged the normal fare for any additional sectors travelled. Once clients return to Port Denarau, the pass becomes invalid for any further use. 
  • Yasawa Pass vouchers are issued for the specified number of nights as per the selected pass duration. While all travel is pre-paid, it does not need to be pre-booked at the time of purchase – reservations must still be made for all vessel transfers and accommodation at least 24 hours before the travel date, and accommodation MUST be booked before disembarking from the South Sea Cruises vessels. Guests must make their accommodation bookings in advance of their arrival at a resort – all accommodation is subject to availability. Hotels/resorts can be requested either before arriving in Fiji or booked with the Yasawa Adventures Fiji staff at the Tour Desk on board the Yasawa Flyer or by calling the Yasawa hotline +679 999 5512
  • Meal Plans for the ‘Yasawa Passes’ cannot be pre-purchased. Therefore, all meals are to be paid directly to each resort stayed at in the itinerary once passengers are in Fiji – these are compulsory and must be taken at the resort as there are no alternate dining options.  
  • Passes can be extended at any time during the client’s travel (prior to the pass expiry) by paying the price difference to upgrade to a longer Pass directly to the staff at the Travel Desk onboard the Yasawa Flyer or by calling the Yasawa hotline on +679 999 5512
  • Any pass being used by a person other than the pass owner will be confiscated, and the balance of its use will be forfeited.
  • Any pre-booked accommodation is subject to the cancellation fees listed below.
  • Lost, stolen, damaged, or misplaced ‘Bula Pass’ and/or ‘Yasawa Pass’ vouchers will not be replaced. Lost Yasawa Passes could result in the holder paying the accommodation directly to the resort for the night specified on the lost voucher
  • Customers purchasing a Bula or Yasawa Pass are entitled to purchase a Day Pass to Malamala Beach Club at a substantially reduced rate (FJ$99 per person) – this can be pre-purchased with their pass or locally via Yasawa Adventures Fiji once they arrive in Fiji

Fuel Surcharge

Fuel Surcharge applicable for travel

FUEL SURCHARGE IN EFFECT – UPDATED MONDAY 1ST OF JANUARY 2024

South Sea Cruises currently has a fuel surcharge to take effect for customers travelling with us on a resort transfer as well as applicable day trips. 

South Sea Cruises also notes that since setting the 2023/24 transfer rates, the Fiji Government has removed the 10c per litre duty concession which South Sea Cruises had factored into our rates at the time of issue and has now had to absorb. 

The applicable fuel surcharges in effect for travel as of Friday, 1st December 2023 are as follows:

  • Awesome Adventures Fiji Package or Pass customers – $15 per person. 
  • Resort Transfer only customers travelling to/from all Yasawa Island Resorts (including Vomo) – $15 per adult/$7.50 per child (2-15 years only) for each one-way sector. 

All fuel surcharges stated are in FJD and include applicable taxes.

Thursday 9th of April 2026:

•Day Trips across both the Mamanuca & Yasawa Islands will remain suspended today.
•Resort Transfers will operate on a reduced schedule which are as follows:

The services which will operate on a reduced schedule today are Routes 1 / 3 / 5 within the Mamanuca Islands and Route 7 in the Yasawa Islands.

The services which remain suspended today include Routes 2 / 4 / 6 / 8 / 9 / 10 / 16 / 17 as well as Six Senses boat transfers.

For customer reference, numbered routes can be found here.

Customers impacted by the suspension of Resort Transfers and/or Day Trips during the above-mentioned period can defer their travel to another day or if they are unable to defer travel they can cancel without penalty. Friday 10th of April 2026:
All SSCG products and services will resume to normal operations. All Day Trips & Resort Transfers will operate as scheduled.

SSCG asks all stakeholders to be patient in terms of vessel services over the coming days. There has been a lot of debris washed into the ocean, and which poses a risk to our vessels. Vessels may operate at reduced speeds in certain areas as a result and therefore there may be delays.

This will be the final advisory pertaining to TC Vaianu.
