Description

Mantaray Island Resort is nestled between two gorgeous white sandy beaches. The dining room and bar are set atop a hill with glorious views out over the surrounding islands and there are communal tables or tables for two. Down on the beach is a lounge, bar, and pizza bure. Bures are set along the shore and in the trees – fall asleep to the gentle rhythm of the waves. Just off the beach is one of the best snorkelling areas in the Yasawa Islands. Manta ray cruise the nearby channels (between May and October), there are more than 40 dive sites in range and excellent fishing to be had.  Mantaray Island Resort is a perfect mix of relaxation, culture, and enjoyment.

  • Paradise Dorm – 32 beds (16x bunk beds in cubicles of 2x bunk beds) shared bathroom, air conditioning. Affordable, clean, and tidy.
 
  • Treehouse Bure – 1x double or 2x single beds, shared bathroom, fan, bedside tables, and private balcony with outdoor furniture and louvered windows to let the cool sea air in. 
 
  • Seaside Bure – 1x king bed, ensuite (composting toilet), fan, louvered windows, tea/coffee making facilities, and sliding door to a private balcony and the beach
 
  • Reef Bure -1x queen bed (only), outdoor ensuite, air con, louvered windows, tea/coffee making facilities, and mini-fridge. Beachfront away from the main bure and dorm. Private balcony with outdoor furniture leading onto the beach
 
  • Family Reef Bure – 1x king bed and 1x roll away bed (max occupancy 3 adults or 2 adults and 1 child), ensuite, air conditioning, louvered windows. Tea/coffee making facilities, sliding door opening to the private balcony and beach

Fuel Surcharge

Fuel Surcharge applicable for travel

FUEL SURCHARGE IN EFFECT – UPDATED MONDAY 1ST OF JANUARY 2024

South Sea Cruises currently has a fuel surcharge to take effect for customers travelling with us on a resort transfer as well as applicable day trips. 

South Sea Cruises also notes that since setting the 2023/24 transfer rates, the Fiji Government has removed the 10c per litre duty concession which South Sea Cruises had factored into our rates at the time of issue and has now had to absorb. 

The applicable fuel surcharges in effect for travel as of Friday, 1st December 2023 are as follows:

  • Awesome Adventures Fiji Package or Pass customers – $15 per person. 
  • Resort Transfer only customers travelling to/from all Yasawa Island Resorts (including Vomo) – $15 per adult/$7.50 per child (2-15 years only) for each one-way sector. 

All fuel surcharges stated are in FJD and include applicable taxes.

Please note the updated advisory information applicable for Thursday and Friday as follows:

Thursday 9th of April 2026:

•Day Trips across both the Mamanuca & Yasawa Islands will remain suspended today.
•Resort Transfers will operate on a reduced schedule which are as follows:

The services which will operate on a reduced schedule today are Routes 1 / 3 / 5 within the Mamanuca Islands and Route 7 in the Yasawa Islands.

The services which remain suspended today include Routes 2 / 4 / 6 / 8 / 9 / 10 / 16 / 17 as well as Six Senses boat transfers.

For customer reference, numbered routes can be found here.

Customers impacted by the suspension of Resort Transfers and/or Day Trips during the above-mentioned period can defer their travel to another day or if they are unable to defer travel they can cancel without penalty. Friday 10th of April 2026:
All SSCG products and services will resume to normal operations. All Day Trips & Resort Transfers will operate as scheduled.

SSCG asks all stakeholders to be patient in terms of vessel services over the coming days. There has been a lot of debris washed into the ocean, and which poses a risk to our vessels. Vessels may operate at reduced speeds in certain areas as a result and therefore there may be delays.

This will be the final advisory pertaining to TC Vaianu.
